Introduction and Description of the dynamic search engine

This search engine allows the combination of several entities to browse the newt database. It is divided in different sections, namely:

Within a section the definition of a search is possible using the operators AND or OR to describe whether entities should be combined in a search, or seen as single entities in a query. The logical combination including all entities within a section is possible by setting the overall operator button of a section to AND or OR state.

Filtering your search

It is possible to restrict the results of your dynamic query by choosing A) only deregulated transcripts, B) only transcript with at least one identified peptide or C) both. The threshold for your fold change can be choosen from the dropbox. Please note, that a scan for peptide in combination with a complex query will take several minutes. Please be patient.

Defining the result

On the bottom of this page you can choose between a "classical result output" and a "smart result view". Furthermore it is possible use a search status and query filter. The query filter will show additional information referring to your search, the output and the entity information. For large searches it is recommended to use the smart result view. Please keep in mind, that the smart search tool is still beta and under construction. The smart search output view allows for free text search, sorting and filtering the results in smart data tables. The classical view is faster and gives the opportunity for quick check of alignments.
